Women’s National Selection Committee Chairman Jalaluddin on Saturday announced a 15-member squad for Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women’s T20 Asia Cup scheduled for this year in Malaysia.
Veteran cricketer Nain Abidi has returned to the squad after a string of performances in domestic cricket. She last featured for Pakistan in the Women's World Cup held in England in 2017.
The squad includes: Bismah Maroof (captain), Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Bibi Nahida, Javeria Wadood, Syeda Nain Abidi, Ameema Sohail, Sidra Noor, Nida Rashid, Kainat Imtiaz, Sana Mir, Nashra Sundhu, Anum Ameen, Natalia Parvaiz, Diana Baig and Javeria Rauf.
Six teams will be taking part in this year's edition: Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The tournament will take place from June 3 to June 10. India are the reigning defending champions of the Asia Cup.
