Addressing the passing out parade of 7th bench of the Dolphin Force, held here at Chohang police training centre, the chief minister said “it’s an honour for him that he is witnessing the ceremony as the chief guest.
“The policemen need to change their behaviour towards people of Pakistan in order to achieve better results (in law enforcement)”, he urged.
Appreciating the Dolphin Force’s performance, the chief minister vowed to expand the force to other districts of Punjab phase wise.
He said equipping police with latest weapons and training on modern lines is the policy of the government.
Sardar Usman Buzdar also announced that police training colleges will be established in DG Khan, Sahiwal and Sargodha.
During the passing out ceremony as many as 881 cadets passed out which will be deputed in five different districts of the province.
The chief guest of the ceremony, inspected the parade and showed his satisfaction over the operational preparations by the force.
The Dolphin Force is an elite security unit established by the then, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, after a similar force in Turkey that had provided him with the inspiration to create one in Punjab as well. Security officials on Honda CB motorbikes patrol the streets of Lahore, keeping an eye out for hardened criminals and their malicious activities.
