NAB officials barred from giving interviews to news channels
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Javed Iqbal on Monday barred officials from giving interviews to news channels, read the press release.

The press release further reads that only NAB chairman or bureau’s spokesperson will share details [on case concerned] with the media and public.

The press release reaffirmed the vow that all mega-corruption cases would be taken to their logical end.

NAB chairman has also sought record of media interviews by NAB Director-General Lahore Maj (retd) Shahzad Saleem from the Pakistan Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).

NAB Director General Lahore Saleem Shehzad has been accused by the opposition, specifically Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, of carrying out media trial. The joint opposition also tabled a privilege motion in the National Assembly suggesting swift intervention of the House into the matter.
