The Premier, in a tweet today said that temporary shelters, also called Panah Gahs were set up in Lahore.
In another tweet on early Saturday morning, PM Imran Khan gave the order to Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar to provide all those people who sleep on footpaths with Panah Gahs [shelters] and food.
Prime Minister, in his tweet, said that all the homeless people in Punjab will be provided with necessary food items and temporary shelter until completion of proper shelter homes.

He also said that the quick action for shelter provision was taken considering the increasing cold atmosphere.

Earlier yesterday (November 23), Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Program will not only help in providing houses to homeless people but also increase economic activities in the country.
Addressing a meeting of Housing Task Force in Islamabad, he said that the program will also help in meeting the challenge of unemployment in the country.The Prime Minister directed to expand the scope of the Housing Programme to Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan as well.
Chairman Housing Task Force, Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi, briefed the meeting about the progress of proposed legislation, housing authorities established on the federal and provincial level, proposed Real Estate Regulatory Authority and other issues regarding the program.
