Six labourers, who were injured after boiler of a Karachi factory exploded, succumbed to their wounds at the city's Civil Hospital late Wednesday, according to hospital authorities.
The incident had taken place at a private factory located near Manzil Pump area in Landhi. As a consequence, seven labourers were injured critically, who were shifted to Civil Hospital.
Six out of seven injured workers succumbed to their wounds late Wednesday, hospital authorities confirmed.
Meanwhile, SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said the incident was being investigated. He said that according to initial investigations, the blast took place because of an increase in gas pressure in one of the furnaces.
The deceased labourers were identified as Amir, Saleem, Shadman, Imran, Khalid and Inayat.
