Afghanistan’s right-arm batsman Mohammad Shehzad on Wednesday shattered record books as he became the quickest to half-century in 10-over format of the cricket.
Afghanistan—who represents Rajputs in T10 league—cruised to half-century on just 12 balls.
Shehzad has also equaled overall record of fastest fifty held jointly by India’s Yuvraj Singh, West Indies Chris Gayle and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai. But they had scored fifties in T20 format.
Riding on Shehzad’s record-breaking fifty, Rajputs chased down target of 95 in just four overs.
Earlier, England’s limited over skipper Eion Morgan held the record of fastest fifty in T10 format. He had achieved the feat on 14 balls.
