PM Imran inaugurates Shelter Home in Peshawar
Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that strict action will be taken against ministers who are found taking their responsibilities for granted and who do not perform their duties with honesty.

“I will eventually come to know which ministers are not spending full time at their offices and those found violating rules will be sent packing,” said the premier while addressing a ceremony to mark completion of first 100 days of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government in Peshawar.

“You are elected representatives … people will beat you if they find you letting them down … they will not listen to excuses that the bureaucracy didn’t let you work,” he warned all lawmakers present on the occasion.
“We will not only take strict action but will sack bureaucrats creating hurdles,” he added.

Prime Minister Imran said Chief Minister Mehmood Khan is and honest and simple man and that he completely trusts his honesty.

He said people gave the PTI government a second chance for not adopting traditional politics of spending billions in development funds.

“I like [K-P CM] Mehmood Khan because he is an honest and simple man. I trust his honesty,” he remarked while talking about performance of the provincial government. “No matter how intelligent a man is, if he isn’t honest or simple, he is of no use,” he added.

“People of Punjab made fun when Usman Buzdar was elected as Punjab CM because they were used to royalty and royal rulers. I have confidence in these two CMs that they will not be pressurised,” said the prime minister.

“I was very happy to see the shelter home which Mehmood Khan has made in Peshawar. He has named the place guest house, not a shelter home but a guest house. He will make five more such shelter homes.”

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran inaugurated a shelter for the homeless in the K-P capital. The shelter will provide accommodation for 200 people. Facilities including transport, health care and meals will be provided and uninterrupted electricity supply has also been ensured at the premises.

The provincial government is also setting up shelter homes near bus stops and more are being set up in Charsadda, Kohat and Haji Camps.

The shelter homes are being established by the provincial administration under its 100-day plan.
